Alienware adds Area-51 ALX to ALX desktop PC range, offers Blu-ray burner

Alienware have just added the Area-51 ALX desktop PC to their ALX range of computers, boasting an Intel Core 2 Extreme processor and the latest NVIDIA GeForce 8800GTX SLI graphics processor.

Thanks to the Intel chip, the Area-51 delivers quad-core processing power, and is backed up by the cutting-edge graphical power of the GeForce GPU. The graphics processor is HDCP (High Definition Copy Protection) enabled, meaning that these machines will happily chomp their way through processing and displaying high definition content.

Talking of high definition, Alienware have plumped for Blu-ray in these machines, with a 2x speed player/burner available as an order option.
